TENSIONS are rising in the Love Island villa as Joey Essex and Harriett headed to the Hideaway.
Despite Joey being coupled with Samantha, last night saw him crack on with Brighton beauty Harriett.
This went down very badly with Samantha, with the star branding the move “so petty.”
This comes as a brand new Love Island bombshell entered the villa and snogged ALL the boys in the process.
Leaving Mimii in tears, new bombshell Uma kissed Ayo before leading him away in a shock cliffhanger.
It comes as Harriet was also left in tears after Ciaran managed to grab Nicole for a chat to tell her that he was interested in getting to know her.

- Is Joey Essex being paid more than his fellow islanders?
Fans are convinced Joey is being paid for his time in the villa.
Taking to social media, one said: “I wonder how much they paid Joey Essex to be on here?”
A second wrote: “I just had a thought?? Is Joey Essex being paid a fee for this??? And if he wins, will he get the prize money as well as an appearance fee?
“They must’ve paid Joey big money for this.”
However, an insider has revealed Joey is being paid exactly the same as his fellow islanders – £375 a week.
- Joey Essex ‘gives away’ he’s NOT thick
Tuesday’s instalment saw the former Towie star, 33, get to know the girls after arriving in the villa as the first bombshell.
The following day Joey and Harriett got to know each other on the bean bags, and the beauty wanted to know why he picked her for a smooch.
Joey said: “It was an in the moment thing. I felt like I did gravitate towards, I can’t believe I’m using that word. I don’t even really know what it means.”
Harriett asked: “Gravitate? Yeah it like pulls you in a little bit.”
Many took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out Joey’s blunder.
One said: “I know Joey is not about to do the ‘dim’ act at his big age of 33. You know exactly what gravitate means my friend #Loveisland.”
Another added: “He caught himself slipping….realised gravitate sounded too smart, had to back track. Stay on brand Joey.”
- Split opinions
New bombshell Uma has certainly divided opinion among fans.
Uma strutted into the villa last night before sneaking off to The Hideaway with Ayo – all under the watchful eye of Mimii.
But her behaviour has split opinion among viewers.
One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I liked her for two seconds until she took Ayo away.”
Another added: “She better leave Ayo alone.”
But a third said: “These girls need to stop claiming these boys so early 😂😂.”
And someone else agreed: “People need to calm down and realise that it’s only DAY 3. Uma can do whatever she wants and as much as I like Mimi and Ayo, he is still SINGLE.”
- Pay day
Love Island fans were treated to a huge shock on Monday night when former Towie star Joey Essex entered the villa.
But viewers are now wondering if he’s been handed a big pay cheque to take part in the ITV2 show.
Joey is the first celebrity bombshell in Love Island history and one fan asked: “I wonder how much they paid Joey Essex to be on here?”
But an insider has revealed that Joey is getting the identical £375 a week wage as his fellow Islanders.
- First kiss
Joey Essex has burst into the villa and already had his first proper snog (that wasn’t part of a game).
The former Towie star cosied up to Samantha within minutes of Wednesday night’s episode airing and they shared their first kiss on a day bed.
This was very quick moving, as hairdresser Sam had only left a few hours earlier, but Joey put it all down to ‘the Joey Essex charm’.
- Frenemies
The first major spat between the house has happened – and it centred around Harriett and Nicole.
The girls came to blows after Nicole pulled Ciaran to one side in The Hideaway to tell him she fancies him.
Forgetting she has know Ciaran for all over three days, Harriett burst into tears and stormed off.
Later, Harriett and Nicole had a ‘heart to heart’ in the dressing room before kissing and making up.
And it was was done in the most unconvincing way possible. Isn’t that right, Girlie Whirley?
- Lifting the lid
Brave Love Islander Patsy has already opened up to Munveer about her disability.
Patsy revealed to her love interest on Wednesday night that she suffers from Erb’s Palsy, a condition that means one of her arms is shorter than the other.
She told Munveer how she has no strength above shoulder height.
Munveer was completely unfazed and told Patsy to call on him if she needs help with anything.
Fans have praised Patsy for being honest, with one saying: “Wait, this is really educational rn because I had never heard of Patsy’s disability before but it’s nice to know what it is.”
- Bedroom buddies
As a result of Joey making his pick around the fire pit, he had to sleep in a bed on Monday night with his new girl Samantha.
But there was definitely no awkward moments between them.
Both Joey and Samantha were all smiles once under the covers and looked like an old married couple.
I wonder if she gave that ‘suede’ hair a stroke as they fell asleep?
- Familiar face
Love Island bosses have lined up another familiar face to enter the villa as a bombshell.
Abbie Quinnen, the ex-girlfriend of Strictly dancer AJ Pritchard, is packing her bags and getting ready to stir up trouble.
The dancer, 27, already has links to the show. In 2019, AJ’s brother Curtis took part in Love Island and he was briefly coupled up with Maura Higgins.
A source said: “Joey [Essex] went in as the first big bombshell and Abbie is waiting in the wings for the call up.”
