The company will also roll out the new edition in Jaffa Cakes Bars form too, for a handy way to snack on-the-go.

Great recipe shows you how to make a giant Jaffa cake at home using what you’ve got in your cupboard

Adam Woolf, marketing director at McVitie’s, said: “Jaffa Cakes Cola Bottle is certainly one of our more unexpected product launches – stepping away from fruit flavours for the very first time.

“Jaffa Cakes have always stood out from the crowd (and the biscuit aisle), but we really wanted to try something new with this one.

“It’s no doubt going to cause some debate among our Jaffanatics, and we can’t wait to hear what they think.”

Fans have already had the option to choose between raspberry flavour Jaffas as an alternative to the traditional burst of citrus orange.

UK superstores set to stock the chocolate goodie include Tesco, Sainsbury’sMorrisonsIceland and Co-op.

Industry giant Tesco is scheduled to roll out the sweet treat from Tuesday, July 23.

Meanwhile, AldiAmazonPoundland, B&M, Spar, and others will start selling the Cola Jaffa Cakes from August and September.

A pack of five bars will cost shoppers £1.80.

And, all McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes boxes are fully recyclable, with the inner film processed by in-store collection points available at large supermarkets or through McVitie’s partnership with TerraCycle.

It comes as shoppers are racing to nab a tasty McVitie’s bar which fans say is “lush”.

The McVities Gold Billions Wafer bar has made its way back to B&M shop shelves.

This bar has layers of crisp wafer and cream filling which is coated with golden caramel chocolate.

The iconic chocolate bar has been around since 1988 but the retailer has since revamped the bar with the latest “billionaire’s” version.

Plus, the company is giving fans a taste of nostalgia with a new limited-edition snack which is already on shop shelves.
