Prince Harry is “a lost little boy” alongside his wife Meghan Markle, whose strength “makes up for his own weakness”, a royal commentator claims.
The couple wed in 2018, before stepping back as senior royals two years later and relocating to California where they are raising their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But a Palace watcher now warns that the dynamic of the relationship is unequal.
Speaking to The Mirror, Royal author and expert Tom Quinn said: “No one has ever doubted that Harry and Meghan do not have an equal partnership – when Harry famously said, ‘what Meghan wants Meghan gets,’ he neatly summed up the situation.”
“Harry has always come across as a lost little boy, overprotected by the Royal family as a child and then suffering the death of his mother he has always seemed unsure and indecisive, always searching for a strong partner who makes up for his own weakness,” he continued, adding, “Meghan is very much that partner.”
“She is ambitious, determined and a real fighter – Harry always tries to fight alongside her, but the battling, complaining Harry we see now did not exist before Meghan‘s arrival on the scene,” he claimed.
A representative for the Sussexes has been approached for comment.

Meghan Markle ‘sticking to one royal tradition’ when raising Archie and Lilibet
Meghan Markle is sticking to one royal tradition while raising her two children in California, a royal author has claimed.
Royal author Tom Quinn told The Mirror that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet going to the best schools possible will be non-negotiable.
He claimed: “Meghan has always been determined that her children should grow up with a very good relationship with their mother Doria so it’s no surprise that Doria is the live-in nanny.
“One of Meghan‘s difficulties when she was a working royal living in the UK was her lack of experience in dealing with staff so in Montecito she has kept paid staff to an absolute minimum.
“But if she’s avoiding the royal tradition of paying people to do the childcare, she’s certainly sticking to the royal tradition of sending children to elite schools.”
He added: “Lily is lined up for £47,000 a year private school. Early on there were rumours that Meghan and Harry might send their children to a local state school but that was never really on the cards.
“It made it look as if the couple were trying to be as ordinary as possible but no one was fooled.
“Apart from anything else, Harry wouldn’t countenance risking his children being educated in anything other than in an elite environment. Choosing an elite school is very much in the royal family tradition.”

Meghan Markle ‘banned’ from using this British word and fans are astounded
In an unearthed interview which recently emerged on TikTok, TV producer and writer Aaron Korsch claimed the Duchess of Sussex was told not to use the word “poppycock” on camera, with the revelation leaving royal fans non-plussed.
Markle came to fame by starring as Rachel Zane in the popular legal drama, and the instruction was said to have come before she wed Prince Harry in 2018.
Korsch said the planned line was supposed to be a nod to an in-joke.
“My wife’s family, when they have a topic to discuss that might be sensitive, they use the word ‘poppycock,’ he explained.
“So, in the episode, Mike and Rachel were going to have a thing, and as a nod to my in-laws, we were going to have her say, ‘My family would say poppycock,'” but he claimed the Royal Family “did not want her saying the word”.
Korsch said he believed the intervention was made over fears the clip could be cut to make it sound as though the Duchess had used a rude word.
“They didn’t want to put the word ‘poppycock’ in her mouth,” he said. “I presume because they didn’t want people cutting things together of her saying ‘c***.”
Korsch explained that as a result “we had to change it to ‘bulls***.'”

Prince Harry snubbing pal Duke of Westminster’s wedding is ‘very sad’
Prince Harry did not attend his good friend the Duke of Westminster‘s wedding on Friday in what one royal expert has called a “very sad” moment.
Hugh Grosvenor married his girlfriend of two years Olivia Henson at a lavish ceremony Chester Cathedral that was attended by Prince William but not his brother.
This snub came as a surprise to many as the Duke of Sussex shared a much closer relationship with the groom, but reportedly chose to stay at home in California with Meghan Markle so attention wasn’t detracted from the couple’s big day.
There was also the added awkwardness of Prince Harry having to interact with his estranged family, his relationship with whom has become increasingly strained since he and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said there was a “sadness” surrounding the event as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex missed “the wedding of the year”.
He told The Mirror: “To feel you have no choice but to miss the wedding of the year is very sad. However, the deep rift within the Royal Family has ensured that Harry and Meghan were never going to accept an invitation to the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, godfather to Archie and a close friend of Harry. They knew William would be there, reportedly as one of the ushers.”
He acknowledged the “media storm” that would’ve occurred if the Duke and Duchess had accepted their invitations.
He said: “They also knew that their presence would cause a media storm, especially since Meghan has not visited Britain since Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral.”
